Savour the Sun on your Plate! What characterises Greek cuisine more than anything is the joy of sharing delicious food.  My Greek Meze  is a collection of the tastiest and best known meze recipes that we enjoy in Greece, written by the queen of mezedes, Eleni Psyhouli. This cookbook is in many ways like a portrait of Greece. It has the aroma of the sun, the carefree vibe of holidays, the smile of the islands, the wisdom and taste of tradition, the scent of ouzo, the colour of the grapevine. It is a book that will help you to cook at home –in the heart of winter– your beloved memories of the Greek summer. In its pages you will find 65 simple recipes, which have stood the test of time and remain an essential part of Greek tradition, made with everyday ingredients that you can find anywhere. You don’t need to spend much time in the kitchen to create the finest meze. This book will guide you through every stage, giving you tips and alternative solutions to make –in a few easy steps– mezedes of the Aegean, mezedes of the mountains, exactly as we enjoy them in every corner of Greece. The secret to their success is, in a nutshell, the love you put into their preparation. So, invite Greek tradition to your table, say “yes” to the joy of coming together over a carafe of ouzo, and immerse yourself in the splendour concealed in a small meze dish.  To your very good health!   The Authors Eleni Psyhouli was born in Volos, the Greek city closely associated with tsipouro, so she is very knowledgeable about fine mezedes. A respected food writer, she has collaborated with most Greek culinary publications and has her own food writing website (www.pirouni.gr). For seven years she also had her own daily show, “Chef stonaera”, on Skai TV and was a judge and presenter of MasterChef Junior. In 2021 she returned to the small screen to take viewers on a different culinary journey across the Pelion region, with the series “Syntages Psyhis” on Skai TV. Her resume also includes two restaurants, two cookbooks and a strong passion for traditional Greek cuisine.   Ioanna Pavlaki was born in Athens. Her family roots are on the island of Lesvos, where she spent her childhood summers. She learned to cook and try different flavours at her grandmother’s side. Ioanna’s favourite pastime is browsing through cookbooks, while her travels in Greece and around the world further expanded her culinary horizons. She enjoys cooking for friends and loves the sea. Ioanna also has a passion for turning small ideas into reality, such as the successful cookbook series “My Greek”. Instagram @fishpavlaki
